Giving your first ever talk at a conference can be a daunting prospect. The Society encourages emerging speakers to participate in the annual conference by offering a special prize for the best oral presentation by a first-time speaker.
Emerging-speaker presentations are assessed by a panel of three judges from the Executive Committee on a set of criteria including: scientific validity and content; clarity and organisation of the material presented; time keeping; and delivery style. The winner is announced at the end of the conference and presented with a prize. Details of the winner will be published on the NZPPS website and in the September newsletter.
If you wish to be considered for the emerging speaker award then tick the appropriate box when you submit your abstract for the next NZPPS conference.
