Instructions for authors

The NZPPS publishes original research papers on all aspects of biology, ecology and control of weeds, vertebrate and invertebrate pests, and pathogens and beneficial micro-organisms in agriculture, horticulture forestry and natural ecosystems.

Papers should report on completed work or substantial interim results and the research should be current and highly relevant to plant protection today. All written papers must be orally presented at the annual conference. Poster presentations will be printed as extended abstracts only.

Please read the full instructions before submitting a paper or poster, and see the most recent issue of New Zealand Plant Protection for more information on scope and content.

Submission of papers

Authors must submit the abstract for their paper by 22 February 2017.

The full paper must be submitted by 15 April 2017 so that there is sufficient time to publish it before the conference. The only exception is for papers utilising data collected after the abstract submission date (22 February 2017), in which case the extended deadline of 15 May 2017 may apply after negotiation with the editor.

Authors wishing to present posters should submit an abstract by 15 May 2017.
